STEPPING OUT IN FAITH
Hamilton,
I'm one of the guys from Kettering Assembly of God that came to Passion &
Fire while you were in Mason, Ohio. What a wonderful blessing you have been in
my life.
One of the owners of our company had bad back problems on Friday morning. Asked
him to sit down. Held his feet in my hands and showed him how short one of his
feet was. Told him Jesus was going to touch him. We watched his foot grow. He
stood up, said most of the pain was gone and I told himJesus wants it to be gone
completely. He showed me where it was still hurting in his back, I put my hand
on the spot, and just said " in Jesus name pain be gone". He said he
felt heat. Pain was gone. Told him Praise God, that he just received a miracle.
What an awesome God we serve!!!
Our men's bible study class on Sunday, 2/2/03 was so much on fire that a lot of
folks heard us praying and now want to be in our class.
You just could not believe the reaction to people when Jim and Carol came to
church Sunday morning and shared their testimony to some of their friends. The
word is spreading like wild fire. I will say that some of the congregation had
problems with accepting what God is doing.
I stepped out in Faith at the end of service and asked an elderly lady what the
cane was for that she had. She had several constant pain in her left knee that
apparently nothing could be done. She has learned to live with this discomfort.
I might also add she is a very grounded mature Christian with the utmost of
integrity. I asked to pray for her and she accepted. I had Carol Cornet put her
hand on the lady's knee because I wanted Carol to experience God's healing move.
I placed mine on top and commanded the pain to leave "In Jesus name" ,
had her walk and gave her another dose of prayer to rid the balance of pain.
Pain left and she walked without the use of cane. Praise God!!! When she came to
church Sunday evening she left cane at home. What a testimony.
People have said to me.."we'll see what happens in a month..". I'm
praying that the Holy Spirit continues to work through this humble vessel of
mine.
Brother, I want ALL there is to have. I'm basically an introvert but have found
myself getting in over my head and stepping out in faith not only to pray for
someone but to actually pray in Commands and to expect to see a miracle. Talk
about stretching the envelope of faith and risk faith..WOW!!! I don't want to
lose this confidence. Whole new experience for me. Been involved in inner city
ministry for about 15 years and have prayed for a lot of people but not with
this kind of expectancy.
Went on visitations last Friday night and with the intent to pray for a man that
has not been able to talk and is slightly handicapped also. When I stepped
through the doorway he immediately got up and left the room. I've prayed for him
before for his back but this time was different. I was going there with
authority I've never had before. I believe the spirit inside him knew it was in
trouble. I'll get it next time.
I also try and share these experiences with several people that attended to
boost their encouragement and faith. We are excited about what God is doing.
And now a small group of people are going around Commanding healings'"In
Jesus name" and things are happening.
Blessings to you & your family, Thanks,
John
