THE WEALTH OF THE
NATIONS, YEAR OF PLENTY!
Evangelist Todd Bentley
In the last few weeks before this New Year the Holy Spirit has spoken to my
heart for 2003. The bible say's “faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the
word of God” (Rom 10:7) The Holy Spirit will give me something fresh each year
to believe for a higher level so I can be focused on where the blessing will be.
Here is what I have heard as a key theme for 2003.
The wealth of the nations! A year of plenty and ingathering. We want to have a
faith level for this year and a key verse has been emphasized:
Isaiah 60:11
“Therefore thy gates shall be open continually; they shall not be shut day nor
night; that men may bring unto thee the ‘wealth’ of the Gentiles, and their
kings in procession.”
Can you imagine this in your business, ministry or church? The gates or doors
are open 24 hours a day for continual receiving! The wealth just keeps coming.
Why? What is the key to stepping into the kind of wealth the Lord is releasing
now?
A key chapter is Isaiah 60
There are three major themes in this chapter:
1. Harvest and Prodigals
2. Glory Presence
3. Financial wealth
The first verse (Isaiah 60:1), “Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the
glory of the LORD is risen upon thee.” We have a call to evangelism and global
harvest. It is time to Arise and shine!
(Isaiah 60:2) “For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross
darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be
seen upon thee.”
What kind of Glory?
Glory = Chabod (kah-vohd) Strongs: 3519: weightiness: that which is substantial
or heavy, glory, honor, splendor, power, wealth, riches, authority, dignity,
visible splendor and substance.
The first thing that happens (Isaiah 60:3) “And the Gentiles shall come to thy
light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising,” and in verse (4) “they come
to thee: thy sons shall come from far, and thy daughters shall be nursed at thy
side.” The prodigals are coming home.
Wealth of the Nations
Simultaneously during the great harvest in the nations, when we arise and shine
we will see a release of great provision. Remember what the glory presence is.
Isaiah 60:5-6
“The abundance of the sea shall be converted unto thee, the ‘wealth’ of the
Gentiles shall come unto thee, (v6) the multitude of camels shall cover thee,
the dromedaries of Midian and Ephah; all they from Sheba shall come: they shall
bring gold and incense; and they shall show forth the praises of the LORD.”
God is going to release unprecedented wealth for those who say yes to the
harvest and the Go ye call to the nations. Many of us cannot physically go to
India or Africa or any other nation, but many will be called to share in the
vision by giving. We know this is a time of the Joseph's anointing. We must
store up in the years of plenty for the famine that is coming.
There are billions of dollars in illegal sex, pornography, drugs, child labor,
prostitution, organized crime and more. It is time for the wealth of the sinner
to be turned to the just. God will bless the church with more wealth than we
need to do what he has called us to do. God will release this financial favor on
those who Arise and Shine!
There is a release of a spirit of wisdom and revelation to prosper. What to do,
when, where and how.
Another key verse we need to believe for 2003 is Isaiah 61:6-7; “You shall eat
the riches of gentiles (7) Instead of your shame you shall have double honor.
And instead of your confusion they shall rejoice in their portion. Therefore in
their land they shall posses double.”
Thinking Bigger
I received a prophetic word recently that 2003 was a time for Fresh Fire to
receive the double digits “00” on everything. That we were not growing at the
pace the Lord had for us fully and our wineskin, infrastructures and thinking
big levels would not be able to contain what the Lord has for us coming in the
year. One thing that will keep us from the wealth is thinking to small. I can't
help but believe that that is also a focus for the year for many Ministries. Of
course with the receiving of great wealth comes great responsibility.
At the end of Acts 4 we see money from lands and houses laid at the feet of the
apostles to distribute to the poor and widows. That is what the wealth is for.
Then in Acts 5 the first few verses we have the fear of the Lord factor with
Ananias and Sapphira. It was a call to a higher standard of responsibility,
faithfulness and holiness.
God is Changing Our Perspective on the Harvest
God is changing our perspective on the harvest, and increasing our ability to
believe and ask big. In Psalm 2:8 it say's, “Ask of me, and I will give you the
nations as an inheritance, and the ends of the earth for your possession.” How
can God give you something that he doesn’t already have? In Matthew ch 9 he is
the "Lord of the Harvest" Who's harvest? (Rev 11:15) The kingdoms of this world
have become the kingdoms of our Lord. They have past tense become the kingdoms
of our Lord. The harvest is His already.
Psalm 24:1 “The earth is the Lord's and all its fullness, the world and all who
dwell in it.” I am not begging “oh God let me win a soul for you, please let
somebody get saved,” nor am I saying “look at the harvest I brought you”. I am
entering into a harvest he already has, a nation already His. When we look at a
nation that needs to be saved we need to see it by the spirit as already
belonging to Him and in an instant we can win the whole nation. As declared in
the book of Isaiah "the nations are as a drop in the bucket.” Can a nation be
saved in a day? What kind of a harvest perspective do we have? How easy is it
for God to do the impossible? I remember the story of when Reinhard Bonnke in
prayer said “Lord give me a…” when he was about to ask for a million dollars to
do a crusade, out of his mouth came a million souls. From that day forward it
was about the souls and not what he had or did not have. When it was give me the
souls the millions came.
When the Lord asked us to feed the hungry by the tens of thousands in one
crusade. In fact I felt we were to raise enough money to feed a hundred thousand
people a day in Malawi, Africa this coming year. I said God this is impossible.
I do not have in my missions’ budget hundreds of thousands of dollars for one
crusade and feeding program. When I said yes anyways, this is for the harvest; I
will believe your promise. God said if you will launch feeding efforts in your
miracle crusades in 2003, I will take your crusade ministry from reaching tens
of thousands in a service to hundreds of thousands. We have now successfully
raised over $300,000 dollars for the crusade and feeding the hungry in Malawi
through many dear partners and friends like you. Why stop now lets go for the
feeding of a nation.
Time and resources spent on the harvest will only bring us into the rest of
Isaiah 60. Read through verse 7-11 and claim this for the coming year.
