list, to help us get to know one another.
OVERVIEW: We have participated in this list in whatever way the Lord has led
us-In other words, we did not determine amongst ourselves a neat reason to set
up an e-mail list, and then set it up. Thus far, we have noticed our
fellowshipping has been used to exhort and encourage one another for the
building up of the 'Gideon Army' and 'Joshua' generation. In plain language,
that means 'Equipper' callings to effect a work of rebuilding and restoration so
that we can see a church life that is relevant for Today. We have 1700 years of
religion and tradition to work through in order to get back to simplicity in
Christ. We freely acknowledge that 'change' of the present day Church needs to
happen for the Church to be more effective than it has been, and this change
begins with ourselves. Our prophetic indications have been in the direction of
'churches without walls' which would include street ministry and home - based
fellowships.

Northwest Revival News
(a part of the International Revival Network)
dave@nrn.net
http://www.nrn.net/
This news list started in 1995 as a "reader service" for a pastor.
Renewal had broken out in Toronto in 1994 and e-mail was in the early stages of
acceptance in North America as a viable method of communications. Soon other
pastors asked if they could be on the same list. By 1996 the list had grown to
pastors, directors of ministries, missionaries, and persons interested in
renewal reports. The "reader service" evolved into what is known today
as the Northwest Revival News list and has subscribers world wide from every
walk of life.

Our purpose is to dispense some of the more significant words we encounter of
what the Holy Spirit is saying to the church today. We are sent literally
hundreds of words for submission to this list, -- and many of them are very
good, but perhaps a little more for the personal use of the one hearing. But
when we encounter a mature word that we believe to be from the Lord---which
seems to be for the entire Body of Christ, and it appears that this word will
either Encourage, correct, exhort, edify, (etc) the Lord's Family, we put that
word out to the whole list. It is then up to you, the individual, to discern
and/or "judge" the word FOR YOURSELF if its from the Lord. For as the
scripture says, "
1 Cor 14:29 And let two or three prophets speak, and let the others pass
judgment.
We are told by many that the words on this list have helped them in their
intercessions for the Church and the same words often convict them in areas of
their life where they have gotten "off base."

Our burden is for the church that has come to a place where they know it is time
to break out of the confines of the four walls and begin to aggressively pursue
the vision for their city streets and neighborhoods. To bring a level of
training that enables them to have a powerful impact in the public place, i.e.,
work, school, or any place the lost and the desperate congregate.
To equip the common Christian to dramatically impact their "metron" or
world around them. To develope teams that go out into the streets and visit the
"widow and the orphan in their distress." We strongly believe a great
and mighty army is waiting to be assembled in the streets, the allies, the
taverns, the schools and public places of the world. Anxiously waiting for the
church to bridge the gap between church and world and "translate it from
darkness into the Kingdom of His precious Son.
